Rideau Public School - Weekly Memo January 12-16
Bonjour Rideau Families,
Students settled back into routines last week and were happy to see their friends and get back into learning. We have welcomed Catherine London, filling in for Loralyn Gazdik while she temporarily fills in as Vice Principal & Student Support Teacher. Thank you for your patience over the past few weeks during this transition - and delayed newsletters!
Student Safety
After the amount of snow we’ve had, you have likely seen the massive snow hill in the parking lot made by the plows. While this hill is probably a lot of fun, it is off limits because it is not safe for children to play in parking lots. Please help keep everyone safe by keeping your children off this snow pile.
Spirit Day
This Friday, we will have a spirit day: Wear your favourite sports jersey! If your child doesn’t have one, they can dress in their rideau spirit wear.
Frontenacs Game
We have had great turnouts and have enjoyed seeing our Rideau Rhinos out with families cheering on our local hockey team! We will soon have another Ticketmaster link to share for the February 21st game, so save the date. Ahead of this game, we will be raffling off pairs of tickets to the game that students can win by bringing items to donate to the Food Bank. This will begin next week, and the link for tickets will be shared then as well.

Tallack Martial Arts will be running their Karate Program again this year! Watch for more information in the coming weeks if your child is in Grades 1-6.
