Rideau Public School - Weekly Memo December 15-19
Bonjour Rideau Families,
Last week the Scholastic Book Fair was a huge success! We raised lots of money through sales of books, posters, journals, and other items. These funds will go directly toward new books for classrooms.
Our Lost & Found is overflowing with items that children have left behind on the yard, in the gym, in hallways, etc. Please take a look at the Lost & Found sometime this week - perhaps when you come for the gift-wrapping fundraiser – anything left on Friday will be donated.
GIFT WRAPPING - Parent Council is offering something new this year: gift wrapping!
🎁 Wrap it up for a cause!
📅 Dec 18 | ⏰ 3:30–5:30 PM | 📍 Rideau Public School Gymnasium
Minimum donation: $2 per gift – Proceeds benefit the Rideau Library Committee.
Sign up for your preferred time to let us wrap your gifts here. Help us grow our library!
Rideau Public School Pewter Ornaments
Parent Council has collectible limited-edition Rideau Public School pewter ornaments available at a cost of $15 each on School-Day! These were ordered in partnership with Downtown Kingston as part of our 100th anniversary celebration.
The pewter ornaments come packaged with a beautiful commemorative Rideau 100 winter greeting card you can keep or send -- illustrated by Rideau students!
Funds raised through the pewter ornaments will go toward school library improvements. Orders will be sent home with students before the holiday break. A limited number of ornaments are available and they are first-come first-serve. Please get in touch with Cat London (catlondon@gmail.com) if you would really like an ornament but finances are a barrier.
