Rideau Public School - Weekly Memo November 24-28
Bonjour Rideau Families,
As the days are getting colder, students need to be well dressed for recess. Make sure their name is in the mitts, hats and scarves as the minute something falls to the ground no one remembers who it belongs to. Please note that Lost and Found will be bagged up before the holidays and donated as we need to make room for the new year.
GIFT WRAPPING - Parent Council is offering something new this year: gift wrapping! If you have presents ready to wrap and are short on time or on talent (like me) to do it yourself, bring them over to the school on December 9 and December 18 from 3:30 to 5:30. For a minimal cost, you will get all your packages ready before the holidays. I know I will be taking advantage of this service.
EDGE IMAGING - Mail-to-home orders placed by December 8 will be mailed prior to the holiday break, so families can enjoy their portraits with time to arrange their gifts. Visit edgeimaging.ca/order and enter your portrait codes to get started. Lost codes? Check out our online look-up form edgeimaging.ca/lookup or call the Edge Customer Care team at 1-888-416-3343.
GOULD LAKE CAMPS - Interested in a summer camp for next summer, consult the poster below for details.
BOOKFAIR - The Scholastic Bookfair will be the week of December 8. If you are able to volunteer, add your name to this list.
CHOICES AT 7 - Please see the information below.
FUNDSCRIP - Consider purchasing gift cards for stores you are already regularly shopping at. The gift cards are sent to your home for a small mailing fee. Anywhere from 1-10% of your purchase is donated back to the school. Follow this link: Rideau Public Fundscrip Our team code is: 5KHPWW. Check below some of the specials for November and December.
STUDENT CENSUS - Grades 4-6 students will be completing the board's census this week.
Some classes are going on trips this week, follow your child's teacher's messages for specific details.
Have a good week!
