Weekly Memo May 18-22
Bonjour Rideau Families,
I hope you are making the most of this long weekend. The end of the year is coming fast and there are many exciting things in the horizon.
Staffing news: Mme Kennedy is moving to another school next fall; she will be at Amherstview PS. Coming back to us in the role of Vice-Principal and SST is M. Derbyshire. We would like to wish Mme Kennedy the best; knowing she will be greatly missed and we welcome M. Derbyshire with open arms.
Also leaving us as they embark on the amazing journey called retirement are Mme Sveinson, Mme Gazdik and Mme Kim. Mme Norris is taking a year off for traveling.

As we know, things can change depending on students moving in and students moving out as well as teacher transfers which happen in June.
Thank to parents of a grade 6 student who have sent me baby pictures already. Keep them coming! We need them for the end of the year slideshow.
Don't forget to order a milkshake (if you wish) to support our grade 6 celebration day. You can order in School Day.
Permission forms for Splash Pad in June will also be coming out in School Day.

Kindergarten Registration Open! If you have a child ready to start kindergarten next year, find more information about registration HERE. Our Open House will be May 21 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. Registered families will receive an invitation by mail.

Well get your mini makers’ minds in gear and get creative!! Rideau Public is looking to host the SPRING BLING Student Spring Craft Sale on June 10th and we want YOU to join our table of student artisans!! Help support our school, learn finance & business skills and have the opportunity to make your own $$ too!
Submissions are open to all Rideau Public students, from JK- Grade 6.
